Throughout my life I have always enjoyed the outdoors and a variety of art related interests. I began silk painting several years ago, and I have most recently become interested in fiber art, primarily working with merino wool. I appreciate the multiple uses that each of these two materials continue to artistically offer me.
My designs are free flowing of the surrounding natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest or wherever my travels may find me. I personally enjoy the outdoors to do my best capturing the design lines and colors that surround me on my adventures along the way. Each one of my art pieces are uniquely and individually designed, no duplicates.
The painting technique that I use is called Serti. I use 100% water soluble nontoxic French dyes, on 100% Silk Habiti fabric. Each art piece is preserved to prevent fading. The silk can by dry cleaned or gently hand washed and ironed on the silk setting.
My felted objects are made with a Merino wool base and a variety of natural fiber materials and hand dyed silk hankies that are incorporated into each unique handmade piece.
As an artist I am always continuing my education and exploring the endless opportunities that present themselves to me.
I appreciate and thank you for your interest in visiting my art and website! I am available for custom orders as well as hosting art parties and classes.
